Earlier this year, I reviewed some makeup from the Aussie eco-brand, Ere Perez (you can read that post here), and now I'm back with some more of their products to tempt you with.
For those who are new to Ere Perez, they're a cruelty-free Australian cosmetics company with an interesting Mexican heritage. All of their makeup is 'toxins free', so no parabens, petroleum, mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, artificial colours etc, and so their mineral-based formulas use ingredients derived from nature which are beneficial for the skin. This is a great brand to look into if you have sensitive skin, or if you're simply looking for some greener/natural alternatives to what you're currently using.
Their Versatile Vanilla Highlighter, a beautiful and subtle, cream glow-getter, is something that I use on a regular basis, so I was keen to try out more of their products.
Ere Perez Oat Milk Liquid Foundation in Light-Medium* (40ml, £22.50, link)
You know you're in green beauty territory when you pick up a foundation that has oat milk in it! This fragrance-free, natural based liquid foundation features oats in its formula to create a 'nourishing consistency', and perhaps surprisingly, it doesn't feel any different to other mainstream liquid foundations. It has a lovely light texture on the skin (doesn't feel like you're wearing anything), and it blends beautifully, though you do have to work fast to apply it as it quickly sets so I'd recommend using it with a damp sponge, rather than a brush. Once it sets, it stays put throughout most of the day and has a mostly matte finish which is perfect for my combination skin and its oily-t-zone. Good medium coverage which conceals most of my imperfections - I only needed to use a heavy duty concealer on one or two darker acne marks.
I'm really impressed with this foundation as it gives me a great 'real-skin' finish. It sort of reminds me of a liquid version of RMS Un Cover-Up, but one that provides more coverage. Available in four shades, my colour is Light-Medium which is perfect for me during this time of the year. I'd recommend this foundation for anyone who has oily, combination or sensitive skin as I think it may be a little too dry and matte for drier skin types. Comes packaged in a plastic bottle with a pump so ideal for travelling with.
Ere Perez Amazing Arnica Concealer in Light-Medium* (10g, £16, link)
One of the best selling points for Ere Perez is that their make-up is 'good' for the skin, and when I say 'good', I mean it likely won't block pores or irritate it. This cute little duo compact of cream concealer has Arnica in it to help heal blemishes which is something that I wish more brands would do. I decided to road test during a hormonal breakout on my chin (yeah thanks Mother Nature!), and I can say that this definitely seemed to help to speed up the process of making them go away.
The concealer itself has a thick and slightly sticky/waxy consistency which I hated at first, but once applied to the skin, it soon warms up and becomes a lot easier to work/blend with. On the left side is a pale yellow toned shade which is great for blemishes and pigmentation marks, and on the right is a peachy/ orange colour that's perfect for counteracting the blueness of dark circles. It gives an overall medium to almost full coverage which is amazing for a natural based concealer. My main tip with this product is to use a good translucent setting powder with it as it is so thick, it does have a tendency to crease in any fine lines, but a quick dusting over sorts it out in no time at all. It's also fragrance-free, so again this is something that I'd recommend for oily, blemish-prone and sensitive skin types.
Ere Perez Rich Olive Oil Lipstick in Gala* (4.5g, £17, link)
With Winter on its way, I'm reaching for any lipstick that's going to help my dry lips and this one is perfect. Super moisturising formula thanks to a blend of natural oils and waxes such as Beeswax and Olive Oil, this lipstick with lip balm benefts is guaranteed to seriously hydrate and protect your kissers against the cold elements. I have the shade Gala, which is a sheer warm brown with a slightly pearlescent finish that shows up more on camera than it does IRL. It just gives me a subtle wash of that 90s brown trend, making it easy to wear for everyday. A new favourite in my Winter handbag.

Good to hear you like the powder! Definitely, it's great :) xx
DeleteThat's really interesting Evelyn. I'd fancied the foundation but was scared I'd have picked the wrong shade.
ReplyDeleteIt's always difficult buying foundations online - I think I got lucky with this one!
