Looking for some new makeup for a late Summer holiday, or want to try out a more affordable brand? Benecos have some new, on-trend products out which won't break the bank.
If you haven't heard of Benecos before, they're more well known across the pond in Europe (I believe they're German), but they've been available in the UK for a few years now. I've only tried out a couple of their products before and found them a bit hit and miss, however their mascaras are fantastic (previous review here), so I've been keen to try more from them.
Everything from Benecos has been formulated with natural and organic ingredients, so they're free from the usual 'nasties' such as parabens, silicones, and mineral oils etc. The brand are BDIH certified, cruelty-free, and many of their products are suitable for vegans. On top of all that, their makeup is cheap as chips, making them a very affordable option for anyone who is looking to switch to greener alternatives, or simply just wants to try out budget friendly products.
I have a handful of their latest Summer Collection to share with you all today. The collection has a whopping 15 brand new products, so if you like what you see below, be sure to check out the rest!
There are two nail polishes in the collection, one of which is this beautiful coral red called Hot Summer* (9ml, £6.95). Free from toluene, camphor, phthalates, formaldehyde, and colophony, this is a great 5-free nail polish for the price point and the formula goes on smoothly with a glossy finish.
Onto lips, and I have Benecos Lip Gloss in Natural Glam* (5ml, £6.95) that's a sheer gloss with a hint of nude colour. Not too sticky, lots of shine and works well on its own for a subtle no makeup, no makeup look or paired over any nude lippie.
For lipsticks, there are two new ones, including First Love* (4.5g, £6.95) which is described as a deep muted pink, but pulls much brighter and cool toned on my lips. Not really feeling this colour on me, but I can say that the formula is really nice as it's pigmented and creamy.

Benecos have added seven new shades of their natural pressed eyeshadows to the collection, three of which are shown above and swatched below. These all feel silky soft to the touch and blend well, although the pigmentation is quite soft with them. Perfect if you prefer a lighter, more subtle everyday look.
The shades that I have are called Apricot Glow*, a pretty peachy neutral shade with a little shimmer, Forget-Me-Not*, a shimmery light sky blue, and Soft Vanilla*, a matt off-white which looks great as an inner corner highlight to open up the eyes. These are each priced at £3.95.
My favourite product is this gorgeous Natural Fresh Bronzing Duo in Ibiza Nights* (8g, £6.95). Inside the see-through compact, there's a larger pan of bronzer that looks like it has a little shimmer in it, but it doesn't show up on the skin, and a smaller strip of a blusher with subtle shimmer for a little glow. Both shades look very natural on my skin and are easy to work with. A cute little two-in-one for your makeup bag!
Swatches: From L-R - Benecos Natural Eyeshadow in Apricot Glow, Soft Vanilla & Forget-Me-Not, Natural Fresh Bronzing Duo in Ibiza Nights, Lip Gloss in Natural Glam & Lipstick in First Love.
Benecos are available in the UK from selected health stores, independent pharmacies and online from benecos.co.uk
