March was a difficult month for me to get through as I've been quite ill, but nevertheless, I still managed to find a good handful of new beauty favourites to take my mind off things! Here are my March favourites.
I've been looking for a decent backcombing brush for a while after I bid farewell to a very old GHD one that was looking worse for wear. I came across this hot pink number on Hairtrade and it ticked all of the right boxes. Sturdy, thick bristles, easy to hold handle and it just does the job perfectly, allowing me to tease my fine hair into more voluminous looking updos. A real budget beauty bargain for only a few quid!
For the last couple of weeks, I've been testing out some nail treatments from Nail HQ, and these two are definite favourites. The Base Coat has a clever oxygenating formula that stops your nails discolouring and the Protect & Repair Treatment is brilliant if you wear a lot of gel and acrylic formulas as it rehydrates/conditions the nails afterwards and makes them feel stronger. Cheap as chips too.
GOSH Rebel Eyes Mascara* (10ml, £8.99, reviewed here)
Mascara is something that I get excited about but I'm often left feeling disappointed by, so it's rare for me to find new favourites in this field. The best new one I've tried so far this year is definitely this Rebel Eyes Mascara from GOSH. I wasn't sure about the rubber brush at first, but I've come to love it and the formula is fantastic. Big volumised lashes, great pigmentation and smudge proof to boot, plus it's cruelty-free and suitable for vegans.
Masque Bar Hydro Gel Eye Patches* (30 pairs, £29.99, reviewed here)
These eye patches have been a lifesaver for me. When I was ill, I had the worst dark circles (seriously, I looked like I'd been punched in the face!) and these babies really helped me to look much more alive which in turn, helped me to get back on my feet that little bit sooner. Can't recommend them enough.
Ere Perez Highlighter in Falling Star* (11g, £17, reviewed & swatched here)
My green beauty pick of the month is this stunning cream highlighter from Ere Perez, in the shade Falling Star. Absolutely beautiful, looks really natural, but adds enough glow and blends like a dream. Seriously underrated, this is a must-have for anyone who loves strobing/highlighting.
Aveda Stress-Fix Soaking Salts* (454g, £31, featured here)
Lastly, my luxury pampering treat of choice are currently these amazing bath salts from Aveda. I'm a huge fan of their Stress-Fix range in general (the body cream and composition oils are heavenly), but these salts are definitely a standout product in my bathroom. They instantly relax you and help you to unwind after a stressful day - pure bliss.
What are your current beauty favourites?

I've swatched it in my review post here if you can see it? http://www.wewereraisedbywolves.co.uk/2016/03/green-beauty-trying-out-ere-perez.html It does show up quite subtle on me as I have light olive coloured skin! Hope it helps anyway, it's a gorgeous highlighter :) xx
