A trusty black eyeliner is a must have item in my makeup bag, as it makes a huge difference to the appearance and definition of my eyes in a matter of minutes (plus it's a really easy way to look more polished and pulled together if you're feeling hungover...!).
Best Budget Liquid Liner - Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner (3.8g, £2.99, link)
There are some great eyeliners that you can pick up on the high street for almost next to nothing and this one from Collection is one of the best I've tried for under £3. The packaging is basic but functional, and the small, flexible nib allows you draw both thin and thick lines easily. I do wish the handle was a little longer but I can't fault the formula or the cheap as chips price!
Best For A Quick Cat Eye Flick - Eyeko Black Magic Liquid Liner* (0.4ml, £15, link)
Eyeko's Black Magic Liner is my most recent new favourite, which you may have seen me review last month (here). I've always gotten well with Eyeko liners and Black Magic is a surefire bestseller because it's so easy to use. The precise pointed tip almost does most of the work for you when it comes to creating that coveted, on fleek cat eye look so it's ideal for beginners to experiment with.
Best For Tightlining & On The Waterline - SUQQU Gel Eyeliner Pencil* (0.13g, £20, link)
I really struggle to find eyeliners that will stay on my waterline, and that I can use for tight lining with because the vast majority just disappear on me within an hour. I discovered this one from SUQQU late last year, and it's by far the one that stays put the longest out of all the ones that I've tried out so far. The gel pencil is the perfect size for the waterline as it's small and skinny, and it makes tight lining application much easier too.
Best For Everyday / All Rounder - Daniel Sandler Long Lasting Waterproof Eyeliner(0.35g, £9.25, link)
I feel that this eyeliner from Daniel Sandler is massively underrated as I hardly ever see anyone else talk about it, but it's one of a select few that I've ever actually repurchased (it takes me literally forever to completely use up an eyeliner!) which should show how much I love it. This is the one that I reach for when I'm in a rush in the morning or when I want to create a smudgy smokey eye look - it's very versatile, richly pigmented and lasts all day.
Swatches! From L-R: Daniel Sandler Long Lasting Eyeliner, SUQQU Gel Eyeliner Pencil, Eyeko Black Magic Liquid Liner & Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner.
What are your favourite black eyeliners?
These all look great, I love the swatches! My favourite is the Soap and Glory Supercat, I'm a sucker for a felt tip liner because it's so easy to apply whilest I'm still an amateur xD xx

DeleteHave you tried the Collection felt tip liquid eyeliner? I think it might be called Extreme 24Hr or something like that. It's a great budget liner, very black and long lasting xx
