Mother's Day Gift Guide 2016

Lifestyle Gift Idea: Subscription box - My Little Box* shown (various prices)

Subscription boxes are still a big thing this year, with more and more coming onto the market every month and catering for every budget, hobby and passion that you can think of. If I was choosing a monthly subscription box for my mum, I would opt for something like My Little Box because they offer a mix of beauty and lifestyle products so you can get the best of both worlds in one box. If you're splashing out, a designer perfume is always a real treat. If your Mum loves feisty floral fragrances, Stella McCartney's Stella is described as 'sophisticated with a sultry edge' and features notes of Rose Absolute, Mandarin, Amber and Peony and a stunning ombre effect bottle. 

For something more classic but still with a contemporary twist, Dolce & Gabbana's new Rosa Excelsa captures the scent of Rose petals in bloom and blends this with Turkish Rose Absolute, Water Lily, White Dafodil, Papaya and Neroli with Sandalwood undertones. I love the bottle too!

I've said it many times before, but I love giving candles as gifts. Flamingo Candles have brought out a brand new candle for Easter called 'Bunny Kisses' which features a cute bunny and a heart on the front instead of their bespoke Flamingo mascot. Bunny Kisses is a deliciously sweet (but not sickly) scent of rhubarb, caramel and vanilla custard in natural soy wax - a lovely scent if your Mum is sweet things and enjoys baking.

Conscious Skincare are a seriously underrated brand in my opinion, and I was delighted to see that they've launched a new candle into their range of eco-friendly products. This one is scented with essential oils of Grapefruit, Lemon and Cedarwood, and it smells amazing! Very uplifting, zesty and perfect for Spring.

Pampering Gift Idea: Aveda Stress-Fix Soaking Salts* (454g, £31, link)

Everyone should use a luxury pampering treat now and again, but I feel that Mums always seem to miss out as they have a lot of their plates. Treat yours to Aveda's Stress-Fix Soaking Salts which are truly worth every penny as the sugar and mineral-rich salts are infused with an all natural aroma that's proven to help you relax and de-stress.
