Just before Christmas, I was kindly sent an exciting skincare package from the newly launched Eloquence Beauty. Inside was their Pure Luxury Collection Kit so I've been testing these out over the past month. Here are my thoughts!
Eloquence are a new premium natural British skincare brand, whose USP (unique selling point) is that they use Sachi Inchi Oil in their products. Not being familiar with this ingredient myself, I did some quick research (OK googling!) and found out that this oil comes from the Sachi Inchi seed which grows naturally in Peru. It's long been revered as a superfood over there and the oil is high in healthy essential fatty acids like Omega 3, 6 & 9, protein rich and full of antioxidants. When used in beauty products, it hydrates the skin, helping to restore the moisture and sebum balance, and it's natural antioxidant rich composition means it's perfect for smoothing out fine lines and the visible signs of aging.
The brand are cruelty-free and their products are free from artificial fragrances, colours and harsh chemicals so you won't find any parabens, mineral oil etc in their formulas. With this in mind, I was all ready to try them out!
The Pure Luxury Collection Kit brings together all of the products that Eloquence have released so far and offers something of an almost complete skincare routine.
What I was indifferent about or would recommend for other skin types
I have oily/combination skin with dehydrated areas, so I found the Protect & Repair 24hr Cream sadly too rich for my skin, but dry and more mature skin types would definitely appreciate it more. The Firming & Moisturising Eye Gel was OK but nothing ground-breaking, and the Purifying Facial Cleanser again was just OK in my opinion. Both of these last two products did the job but didn't offer anything more, so overall I was left feeling indifferent and a bit 'meh' about them especially as they are on the expensive side.
What I recommend
However, my two favourites from the collection are definitely the Firm and Tone Serum and the Nourishing Treatment Oil - both of which I would highly recommend checking out. The Firm & Tone Serum is like a light cream in texture and it reminds me a lot of Apivita's Natural Hydration Serum that I love. It has Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen to really plump up the skin so it's great if your skin is feeling dehydrated and in need of a moisture boost. The serum absorbed into my skin easily and left it feeling super soft and looking healthier than usual.
The Nourishing Treatment Oil is simply pure multi-purpose amazingness. It's a blend of several oils like Sunflower Seed, Coconut, Grape Seed, Sweet Almond, Olive and of course there's that superstar ingredient, the Sachi Inchi Oil. This is brilliant for deeply nourishing any dry areas and can be used on skin, hair, nails, cuticles etc. My favourite way to use it is as a pre-shampoo hair treatment oil to inject some much-needed moisture into my dry locks, but it works wonderfully on everything else too!
