Skincare can be something of a minefield to shop for, especially when it comes to deciding what to buy for someone else, so my Gift Guide this year includes a 'suitable for everyone' product, as well as some lovely luxury suggestions.
Luxury Gift Idea for Everyone: bkr Water Bottle* (£25, link)
Everyone can benefit from drinking more water as most of us don't get nearly enough H20 throughout the day to keep our bodies hydrated and in tip top condition. Sometimes though, all that's needed is a little motivation, and a bkr Water Bottle can provide just that. Oozing with chic style, this is obviously not just average water bottle. Instead, it features a 100% recyclable, 500ml glass bottle that is BPA and Phthalate free and is housed in a non-toxic silicone sleeve for easy to grip handling. The bottle will also fit most cupholders, and is dishwasher safe.
Available in eight on-trend colours (Lolita - that beautiful dark blackberry shade pictured above is my personal favourite for Winter), this is a practical and stylish gift for everyone. Available in the UK from Naturisimo.
Luxury Gift Idea for Green Beauty Lovers: AEOS Optimal Essentials - Blue Gift Set* (£68, link)
Sandra from Beauty Balm recently introduced me to AEOS (which stands for Active Energised Organic Skincare), and the brand very kindly sent me one of their Optimal skincare sets so I could try out their products. I've only managed to test out a few in time to get this Gift Guide live, but so far, so good! Their Optimal Essentials Set includes 10 of their best selling products so you can really get a proper feel for the brand and what they're all about.
This set includes Cleansing Oil De-Maq (30ml), Gentle Cleansing Lotion (10ml), Dew Facial Wash (30ml), Gentle Exfoliant (10ml), Energizing Conditioner (10ml), Refreshing Hydrating Mist (30ml), Realive Serum (30ml), Enriching Moisturiser (10ml), Beauty Body Shower (10ml) and Beauty Body Lotion (10ml). Phew! If you're looking to splash out and treat a green beauty lover, this would definitely be a lovely skincare treat for them.
Luxury Gift Idea for Teenagers/Acne Adults: Works With Water help: clear skin Supplements* (1 box - 28 days supply, £39.95, link)
If you're buying for a teenager or an adult who's tackling acne, you might not want to go down the traditional skincare product route. Instead, why not try gifting them a pack of supplements? Works With Water have a help: clear skin supplement based on PravENAC which contains natural lactoferrin, high extract aloe vera and zinc gluconate which can help to maintain normal skin.
The supplement comes in a powder sachet form and you just add one a day to a hot or cold drink (it doesn't really taste of anything once dissolved). It's free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives, doesn't contain gluten and is suitable for vegetarians, diabetics and those who are lactose intolerant. To find out more about how it works, check out their website here.
Luxury Gift Idea for Liz Earle Fans: Liz Earle Limited Edition Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleansers* (Pink Pepper & Mint, 150ml, £20.75, link, and Sweet Orange & Mint, 50ml, £9.75, link)
Shopping for a Liz Earle fan is super easy this year, thanks to these two new and strictly limited edition variants of their multi-award-winning and cult skincare/makeup remover favourite, Cleanse & Polish. There's a Pink Pepper & Mint version which smells refreshing and warming at the same time, and a Sweet Orange & Mint one if you prefer something more zesty and uplifting.
Both of these are packaged in beautiful festive tins and come with muslin cloths, so your recipient has everything they need in one package.
Luxury Gift Idea for Stressed/Overworked/Party People: skyn Iceland Winter Rehab Kit* (£40, link)
Lastly, I have a clever skincare kit which would be suitable to gift to anyone who has stressed out skin, whether through working too much or simply going out partying or travelling a lot. skyn Iceland's Winter Rehab Kit contains everything they need to have an 'intervention' with their skin and to ultimately sort it out so it's back to looking its best. This Winter Rehab kit is also suitable for those who have dry and/or dehydrated skin and need some extra help during the colder months.
Inside, you'll find Arctic Elixir (25ml), Pure Cloud Cream (10ml), Icelandic Relief Eye Pen (full size), Glacial Face Wash (30ml) and Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels (2 packs), so there's a good mix of products to try out. These all have a combined value of £75, so you can save a whopping £35 by buying it as a kit!
Will you be buying any skincare gifts this year?
