Shopping for a makeup lover this year? Here's my Christmas Gift Guide just for them - I've included gifts which are suitable for Stocking Fillers, Secret Santas as well as some gorgeous limited edition pieces. Everything is £30 and under!
High-end / Luxury Gift Idea: Charlotte Tilbury Limited Edition Mini Lipstick Charms* and Bar Of Gold Skin Gliding Highlighter*
All of the high-end, luxury brands bring out excellent Christmas gifts, but Charlotte Tilbury is truly the Queen of it this year. Her £150 Book Of Makeup Magic (a 12 days of Christmas style set of both skincare and makeup products) has been flying off the shelves, and everything else is set to sell out very quickly, if it hasn't already. I've managed to get my hands on two of her more affordable gifts, both of which she has brought back again due to popular demand as these sold out in record time last year!
Charlotte Tilbury Mini Lipstick Charms (£29, link) - A trio of ridiculously cute miniature lipsticks from her K.I.S.S.I.N.G range. I've raved about these lipsticks before as the quality is some of the best I've ever tried from a luxury brand, so if you've always been curious about them, this is a great way to try them out (and perfect for popping into your clutch as well!). In this set, you'll receive two neutral tones (Penelope Pink & Bitch Perfect) and a gorgeous red (So Marilyn), and they have ribbon attached so you can hang them on your tree - so cute.
Charlotte Tilbury Bar Of Gold Skin Gliding Highlighter(£32, link) - Highlighter junkies will adore this Bar Of Gold, which is packed full of super fine, gold pearl reflecting particles so you can get your Christmas glow on in seconds. Buttery soft and finely milled, this will be a beautiful addition to any makeup lover's collection. This has sneaked its way pass my £30 budget - but what do you expect for a bar of gold these days?!
I've seen lots of nail kits this year and particularly love the look of this one from Eve Snow, who are a cruelty free and six-free brand. Their Gel Detox Lacquer Kit looks at treating natural nails with a more nourishing formula that contains Marula Oil, B12 and Equisetum extract. The kit contains three full size Nail Lacquers; Drunk In Lust (pink), Skinny Dip (neutral light taupe) and a Gel Effect Top Coat. Available from M&S.
If you need a stocking filler or Secret Santa gift for a party girl, Sienna X's Instant Glitz Cracker is a quick and easy crowd pleaser. Pull it open and you'll find a 75ml Shimmer Spray and a 15ml Gradual Glowing Self Tan. Simples!
Gift Idea under £15: Eylure Lash Edits* (£12.99 each, link)
New from Eylure are these three lash 'wardrobes' each containing three pairs of Eylure lashes which are influenced by old Hollywood Glamour. The 'Dangerous Beauty' Lash Edit is inspired by the dramatic darlings of the 1940s such as Bette Davis, whilst the 'Screen Siren' Lash Edit goes back to the 1930s and channels the likes of Rita Hayworth and Marlene Dietrich. For something a bit more subtle, the 'Hollywood Blonde' Lash Edit has some gorgeous classic styles reminiscent of Hitchcock Blondes and Grace Kelly (opened in photo above).
If you're looking for a mini brush set, you can't go wrong with this little set from Ecotools. It features a Full Powder Brush (great for blushers, bronzers and mineral foundations), an Eye Shading Brush and an Angled Liner Brush, all wrapped up in festive packaging. With cruelty-free, soft synthetic bristles, these are great quality (I own quite a few!) and would be perfect for a stocking filler/secret santa gift. Available from Boots.
Know someone who loves experimenting with makeup but not sure what to get them? Makeup brushes are always a good option if they already own loads of makeup. If you know what they're into (e.g contouring, eyeliner flicks, bronzer etc), you could get them a specific brush for that purpose. These makeup brushes from L.A.B.2 are all very sleek and black, with cruelty-free, synthetic and hypoallergenic bristles. They also have detailed 'how-to' descriptions on the packaging so are ideal for gifting to makeup beginners. I can recommend their Just Face It Kabuki Brush, Always On Point Slanted Eyeliner Brush and The Triple Threat Multi-Purpose Brush - all excellent quality! Available from Superdrug.
For a complete brush set, Real Techniques Collector's Edition Deluxe Gift Set contains five full size brushes and a silver metallic clutch bag. I'm a massive Real Techniques fan and would personally love to receive this to add to my collection! Inside the set, you'll find the Multi Task Brush, Tapered Foundation Brush, Angled Highlighter Brush, Base Shadow Brush and Fine Liner Brush. I've spotted this set in Superdrug's Christmas Gifts promotion, so it's currently just £20 in there - be quick if you want to pick it up!
There were a lot of makeup bags that I could have included in this Gift Guide, but I wanted to keep it reserved to just one, so saving the best to last, meet Dolores! Yes, this beauty bag has a name! I've kept this one for myself and she's received a lot of compliments from everyone who has seen her. This softly square shaped bag features a wipe clean covering and has a vibrant festive red lining. Best of all, Dolores is a generous size to pack all of your toiletries or makeup in for a weekend/holiday away, or simply use for storing products on your vanity.
