Last month I posted about the first Latest In Beauty Awards, where LIB were asking beauty fans to vote for their favourite products in a range of categories. The results were counted up and a brand new exclusive box has now been released to showcase the winners!
I was asked to take part in the awards and tested out 30 beauty products which were shortlisted (this was a lot of fun!), and I'm happy to see several that I personally voted for go on to become winners. So who won what?
Blogger's Choice Award: COLAB Sheer & Invisible Dry Shampoo in Monaco
A new favourite of mine, this is currently one of the best dry shampoo formulas on the market and is the brainchild of the gorgeous Ruth Crilly who I'm sure you'll know from A Model Recommends. I love this dry shampoo because it does the job and then some; it adds additional volume, shine and a great scent as well as delivering some extra hold. What more could you ask for?!
Body Beautiful Award: The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Miracle Solid Oil
You guys know that I love hard-working multitasking products and this one from The Body Shop really is an exceptional all-rounder. You can use this solid oil to deeply moisturise any dry skin areas and also as a smoothing styling aid for unruly and frizzy hair. Brilliant stuff.
Must-Have Makeup Award: Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Hawaiian Smoulder
I've been a big fan of Burt's Bees classic lip balms and their tinted variants for a long time, so I was excited to try out their new lip crayons and they did not disappoint. Hydrating and with a matte pop of colour, I think these are actually better than the Clinique Chubby Sticks because they are much more pigmented and moisturising.
Best Newcomer Award: Zoella Beauty Fresh Fizz Fragranced Bath Fizzer
Sadly, there isn't anything positive I can say about this one as my sensitive skin had an allergic reaction to it! Sorry Zoe, but this just wasn't for me and I wasn't keen on the strong scent either.
Green Award: Dr Organic Snail Gel Facial Serum
I was very happy to see a Green Award and have been enjoying using this new cult product from Dr Organic. After I got over the initial 'Ewwww!' factor, I discovered a wonderful hydrating and brightening serum which has been a great addition to my evening skincare routine. Definitely one to try.
Hottest Haircare Award: Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
This pre-shampoo treatment is often mentioned in various beauty awards so I wasn't surprised to see it winning the haircare category here too. Personally, I don't understand the huge hype with it as I feel it's just an OK product and nothing amazing, but I can appreciate that everyone's hair is different.
Skincare Saviour Award: Burt's Bees Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream
My combination skin really got on with this sulfate-free facial cleanser and it makes an excellent gentle morning cleanser. Left my skin feeling clean and fresh, minus any tightness or stripping. A lovely new discovery for me.
Best Eye-Makeup Award: Eye Of Horus Mascara in Brown
I rarely wear brown mascara but when I tried this, I loved it. It makes my lashes look longer but in a natural way and would be great for general everyday / office / work wear. This is a brand that I'll have to look into more!
Cult Classic Award: La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo (+)
The winner of the Cult Classic Award is well deserved. I've raved about this targeted anti-blemish cream before in one of my 'Worth The Hype?' posts last year, and it's definitely become a staple in my skincare routine. I use it when I need it and have seen a real difference in its ability to fade blemish marks.
Inside the new Latest In Beauty Awards Winners box*, you'll receive ALL of the winners mentioned above. 7 out of the 9 products are also full size so this is something of a beauty bargain as the contents are worth over £84! Pick up yours for only £21.95 plus p&p from latestinbeauty.com

So glad to read your review of the Zoella Fizz Bar - I received my box today and the scent is really awful imo and judging by the ingredients, my skin would freak out insanely! I love the Argan Oil, Effaclar Duo+ and the Burt's Bees products, such a good box! X
ReplyDeleteIt's not good at all, glad it's not just me who thinks that! Yes, the other products are fab :) x
DeleteI was super surprised that Skin & Tonic's Steam Clean wasn't in that box as it was the first item to sell out!
ReplyDeleteMe too, really expected Skin & Tonic to win! x
