I love using reed diffusers during the summer months and I've found a particularly bright and cheery one from Orla Kiely which will spruce up anyone's home.
At Christmas, I received a lovely set of mini reed diffusers from Orla Kiely and I've been eyeing up the full sized products ever since. To celebrate the fifth year anniversary of her home fragrance range, Orla has released three new scents into the line and I was kindly asked if I'd like to try one out. The new scents are Orange Rind, Sicilian Lemon and Lavender, and with it being summer, I decided to choose Orange Rind (though it was a close call with Sicilian Lemon which sounds just as enticing).
Each reed diffuser* features a different print designed by Orla and it comes in a beautiful glass bottle with six reed sticks, housed in a co-ordinated box. Orange Rind is an uplifting, luxury blend of Orange Rind, Sandalwood and Eucalyptus essential oils which are infused with Nutmeg. The overall fragrance is very inviting and warming, and I always find that anything orange scented makes me feel instantly happier. The scent throw is excellent and one of these will easily cover an average sized living room or bedroom.
This would make a perfect housewarming gift or simply a special luxury treat to decorate and scent your own home with.
Orla Kiely's range of reed diffusers and candles are available to purchase from John Lewis, prices starting from £25.
*If you're new to reed diffusers, all you need to do is pop the reeds into the bottle which has 100ml of fragrance in it and allow up to 24 hours for the scent to soak into the sticks. The fragrance then travels up the reeds and this is how your room becomes scented.
