If you're feeling stressed, indulging in a long hot bath can be one of the best quick fixes. There are a multitude of beauty products which promise to help but one of my new favourites is from Aveda's bestselling and aptly named 'Stress-Fix' collection.
Aveda's Stress-Fix Composition Oil is one of those miracle products that you use and think, "How did I live without this before?". Made from a 100% naturally derived formula, it has a base of certified organic Sunflower and Jojoba Seed Oils and features Aveda's specially trademarked aromatic blend of calming essential oils that include organic Lavender, Lavandin and Clary Sage which is sourced from the French Alps.
The result is a multi-purpose oil that you can use on your body, on your scalp and in your bath. I've tested this out in all three ways and it works brilliantly however you want to use it. As a body oil, it's wonderfully hydrating and non-greasy, and as a scalp treatment, it's perfect for head massages and great for relieving any dryness/itchiness.
But I feel it really reigns supreme as a bath oil. It's a very concentrated formula so only a few drops are needed for a full bath and it instantly transforms your bathroom into a relaxing spa-like environment. The scent has a gentle calming effect on the mind, so it's easy to tune out the rest of the world and just focus on yourself for a little while. Needless to say, whenever I've used this I always feel ultra relaxed afterwards so I like to use it before bed to help me to sleep.
