Review & Swatches: RMK W Colour Mascara in Indigo & Green and Vintage Drop Gloss in Rose - Vintage Sweets Collection S/S15

RMK's latest Vintage Sweets makeup collection for Spring is one of the cutest I've seen so far this year. There are pastel colours galore, a quirky two ended coloured mascara and lots of shiny new Limited Edition products.

I was invited to the launch of the Vintage Sweets collection, however I couldn't make it, so RMK very kindly sent me two of the new products to try out - let's have a play!

 RMK W Colour Mascara in Indigo & Green* (6g, £25, link)

One of the standout products from this collection has got to be this two-headed coloured mascara. Available in five different colour combinations, they allow you to experiment with colour without being OTT.  I was sent the Indigo & Green combo which features Indigo for your top lashes (longer wand) and Green for the bottom lashes (mini wand as above), but you can of course apply them however you want.  I was expecting the colour to be a lot more vibrant, but on my naturally dark lashes, you can only see a very subtle hint which makes them much more wearable than I initially imagined.  You're likely to get a stronger pop of colour if your lashes are blonde or lighter.

Like the standard RMK mascaras (that I absolutely love), these have a similar kind of formula that's completely smudge and flake proof.  Truth be told, they stay on so well that they're a bit of a pain to remove when you do want to take it off (we're talking Benefit They're Real kinda stubborn here). That said, they do lengthen and thicken lashes like a dream as you can see below, so I don't mind too much.

 RMK Vintage Drop Gloss in Rose* (4.9g £14, link)

For cuteness factor alone, the Vintage Drop Glosses will look adorable in anyone's Spring makeup bag.  There are four shades to choose from and each one has its own sweet, fruity or floral scent/flavour linked to its name, and they all feature a cool striped candy design.  I have the Vintage Drop Gloss in Rose which is a sheer milky, baby pink nude shade and smells like roses.  The gloss itself is non-sticky and delivers lots of shine.
