Invisibobbles have taken the blogosphere by storm and there's rarely a day that goes past when I don't see one pop up on one of my social media feeds. But are they worth the hype?
Invisibobbles are made from spiralled plastic that stretches like an elastic band and can be used instead of a normal hairband to secure any hairstyle, from a classic ponytail to a trendy topknot and everything in between. The flexi-curled design ensures that the hair is left completely kink-free (hence why it's called a 'traceless ring') once you take it out. I'm not sure exactly how this works but it does!
I can wear one of these all day and it doesn't leave any kinks or bends in the hair at all when I want to take it out at night. They're comfortable to wear and feel more secure thanks to the thicker plastic - they don't feel like they're going to snap like regular hairbands so I'd definitely recommend them to people who have thick hair or those who want to create updos that need a stronger hairband.
These genius little hair accessories come in packs of 3 and are available in a wide range of colours. The current Invisibobbles Sweetheart Collection features them in purple and clear glitter varieties, with super cute packaging to boot.
The Invisibobble Sweetheart Collection* is limited edition and available until the end of April 2015 from Topshop and Urban Outfitters, priced at £4 for a pack of 3 invisibobbles.
Have you tried Invisibobbles yet?
Definitely worth the hype IMO!
ReplyDeleteYep!
DeleteI can't seem to make these work for me. Somehow I always manage to get my hair all knotted around these. They do hold your hair very securely though x
ReplyDeleteOh no! Sorry to hear that :( x
DeleteI am useless with my hair so doubt they would be a complete fail for me!

No! I wonder if it was a defective product or something? You should email them! xx
DeleteI have these (bought a ton from my local hairdresser) and I love them, I know you mention how they are good for thick hair but I also find them great in mine and my daughter's very fine hair as they grip so well! :-)

Great to hear that they work well with fine hair too! I shall have to recommend them to my sister now as I know she get's annoyed with how loose other hairbands can be with her very fine hair :) x
DeleteI actually hadn't heard of it until your post now. I'm sure I'll notice it everywhere after this. It definitely seems practical, but I'll probably determine how worthy it is once I know the price!
