The quest to find the perfect nude lipstick can be a difficult one, but I've found a new favourite in this little known, natural niche brand.
Lippy Girl launched their range of eco-friendly, natural, organic, vegan friendly and cruelty free makeup via Botanical Brands in the UK a couple of months ago, and I was very eager to try out their lipsticks. They have a decent range of shades (particularly some gorgeous nudes and neutrals), and cute, kitsch names which instantly appealed to me. I loved the sound of the formulas too which have a mix of organic natural oils and waxes such as Shea Butter, Jojoba Seed Oil, Castor Seed Oil and Carnuaba Wax and natural pigments, so absolutely no nasties like mineral oil or parabens.
I was kindly offered one to review and chose Ski Bunny* which is a beautiful pale nude that reminds me of MAC's Hue which is one of my all time favourite lipsticks. I feel the price point is bang on as well; at £12.50 it's not as expensive as MAC, yet still feels premium and you don't have to compromise on the ingredients either. It's super creamy and moisturising so perfect for lips in need of some TLC like mine are, it's also relatively long-lasting for such a creamy lipstick and the pigmentation is great too. There's no offensive/noticeable scent to my nose and the packaging is sleek and functional.
I'm definitely onto a winner with this one!

DeleteAhhh MAC's Hue is my favourite MAC lipstick too!!! Love this shade, I have it as well but looks much lighter on my lips, I should probably lighten up on the application haha x
ReplyDeleteSnap! My lips are quite naturally pigmented so I guess it depends on that a bit? It is a gorgeous shade, bet it looks amazing on you :) x
