Budget Christmas Gift Idea: The Library Of Fragrance Pistachio Ice Cream review

As a blogger and all round crazy beauty junkie, I love nothing more than testing out new and interesting products.  But I never, ever thought in my wildest dreams that I'd be reviewing a Pistachio Ice Cream scented perfume...until now of course!

My mum bought me a scoop of pistachio ice cream on a Spanish holiday when I was about 6 or 7 years old, and since then, I have had a long love affair with this dessert.  Sadly, it's not a common treat in the UK (why, I don't know), but on the rare occasion that I do find it, I always have to have it. There are a few pistachio scented beauty products on the market, namely Laura Mercier's gorgeous Creme De Pistache range, but it's not exactly easy on the old purse strings.

So when I spotted Pistachio Ice Cream I knew I had to try it and it's everything I hoped it would be. It's sweet, nutty, cool and smells just like the real thing.  I was worried that it would be too cloying after a while, but the sugary sweetness becomes a lot softer after an hour or so and I've had so many compliments when I've been wearing it.  You can also layer the fragrances with others in the range to create your own signature scent and at only £15 a bottle, you can have a lot of fun experimenting!
