What's In My Bag? - The Beauty Stuff

I am one of those women who likes to pack everything but the kitchen sink into their everyday handbag.  A clearout was long overdue so I thought it would be fun to share the beauty bits that I seem to carry around with me on a daily basis.  And yes, there's more than one lip balm.

Lip Balms
Let's get the obvious out of the way first - when I emptied my bag I found four lip balms.  Totally normal right?  I currently have three delicious flavours; Herbfarmacy Marshmallow and Vanilla Lip ConditionerRooted Beauty Passionfruit Lip Butter*, Crazy Rumors Lip Balm in Apple Spice and there's a tinted lip balm from Burt's Bees in Red Dahlia that I just love and have repurchased about a million times.

Multi-Purpose Balms
In addition to lip balms, I have two multi-purpose balms that I also sometimes use on my lips...Anyway!  There's Jurlique Rose Love Balm* and a mini Odylique Calendula Balm* so that I have all dry emergencies covered.

Concealer
I always like to have a concealer with me for any touch ups that I want to do throughout the day. Youngblood Ultimate Concealer* works well for both undereyes and minor blemishes.

Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer is an absolute must, though I only tend to use it when I can't wash my hands properly. I always buy the minis from Bath & Body Works via Amazon because they smell so good and don't dry out my hands.

Hand Cream
Hand cream is another essential and I'm currently using up a tube of The Body Shop Purifying Absinthe Hand Cream which has a light texture and super fresh scent.

Clever Balms
I'm trying to consume less painkillers, so I call these two from Anatomicals my 'clever balms' because I'm finding that they really do work.  I have Oi! You Throbhead Headache Balm* for rubbing onto my temples when I feel a headache is coming on, and Ta Ta To Ooh Ouch Aah Joint + Muscle Rub Balm* for those pesky aches and pains.

Perfume / Scent
I'm not a big perfume wearer in the day, but I do like natural scents that help to cheer me up, especially now that we're in Autumn and the days are getting shorter and darker.  I love the happy, fresh scent of Tisserand Orange Blossom Neroli Oil* and dab it onto my pulse points to lift my mood.

Powder & Brush
Having an oily t-zone requires some maintenance if I don't want to look like an oil slick by 3pm, so I buff over a little of Barry M Translucent Powder with my mini Ecotools Baby Kabuki Brush when I need it.

Lipstick
Surprisingly, I only found one lipstick in my handbag as I seem to have gotten into the habit of changing and taking out the one I wear on an almost daily basis now.  On standby though, I like to keep a good neutral shade to hand, and Seventeen Mirror Shine Lipstick in Beehive is just perfect for everyday.

What beauty stuff do you keep in your everyday handbag?

  1. Thanks for the peek into your handbag! I would totally be up for trying that crazy rumor lipbalm and I do need to try one of the burts bees one too! I usually only carry a few things, my foundation pressed powder, a clear lipbalm or the lip product I'm wearing for the day and my black pen eyeliner! That's about all!

  3. My handbag isn’t always organised and when I got to work I very rarely take makeup with me. But the one thing I can guarantee I will always have in my handbag is the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream!
