5 Mini Reviews: Faith In Nature, Eve Of St Agnes, Liz Earle, Trilogy & REN

Friday, 10 October 2014

I've collected another five samples that I've used up recently and there's a good mix of haircare, skincare and bodycare.  Here's what I thought about each one and whether I would purchase them as full sizes or not.

Faith In Nature Lavender & Geranium Shower Gel & Foam Bath
Lovely SLS free formula and a beautifully relaxing scent.  The lavender isn't as strong as others I've tried, but mixed with the geranium I find it works really well.  I used this as a Foam Bath and managed to get quite a lot of bubbles which I always love.
Repurchase the full size?  Certainly would consider.

Eve Of St Agnes Refining Bamboo & Exfoliating Polish
I started off really liking this but in the end, I found my skin was reacting to something in it sadly so I had to stop using it.  Gave the rest to one of my housemates who said it was one of the best exfoliators she's ever tried!  Goes to show how different products work for different people.
Repurchase the full size?  No, but I think my housemate is going to!

Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo & Conditioner
After reading a couple of negative reviews on these, I wasn't expecting much, but I loved them.  The SLS free shampoo is simple but gets the job done without making my hair greasy or dry, and the matching conditioner adds some extra shine and de-frizzes a little which I always need a helping hand with.
Repurchase the full size?  Definitely once I've used some others up.

Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+
My skin drinks up Rosehip Oil and I find it particularly useful for helping fade those pesky little marks/scars that big blemishes sometimes have an annoying habit of leaving behind.  I didn't notice any difference with this being an antioxidant+ formula but enjoyed using it nonetheless.
Repurchase the full size?  Maybe.

REN F10 Smooth And Renew Mask
This reminds me of a more gentle version of REN's revered Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask (of which I'm a massive fan) but without the marmalade scent and texture.  This is great for a non-manual exfoliation and really helps to brighten up dull skin.
Repurchase the full size?  On my wishlist already.

Have you tried any of these?

  5. I really enjoyed the Eve of St Agnes scrub, I think skincare is so personal though and things won't necessarily work for you even if they work for hundreds of others. I haven't tried any of the other products you mentioned but I'd love to try some of Liz Earle's hair care xx

    1. I completely agree - I think skincare can sometimes take a lot of trial and error before you work out what works for you and what doesn't xx

    1. My housemate made an order to get the full size exfoliator and ended up adding one of their facial creams to her basket as well so I'll have to take a sniff when it arrives! :)
