I've been on the hunt for the perfect summer candle and I think I've finally found 'The One', courtesy of the Heartwood Candle Company.

I'm somewhat obsessed with candles, and though I mainly burn them throughout the Autumn and Winter months, I do enjoy searching for 'summery' scents.  There's something really nice about having one burning when you're having a family or friends get-together, so I always like to have one on standby for those occasions.  And of course, candles are a firm favourite for me time / pampering sessions.  With this in mind, my main criteria for the perfect summer candle included:-

An uplifting scent
Something sweet and floral, but unusual at the same time
A 'clean' formula i.e no nasty paraffin etc.

When Laura from the Heartwood Candle Company got in touch with me on Twitter to ask if I'd like to review one of her handmade candles, well of course I said yes!  She let me choose from some options, all of which sounded amazing, but the one I went for was Cedarwod, May Chang & Katafray.

And so I found it - this is 'The One' ladies.

Heartwood Candle Co's Cedarwood, May Chang & Katafray Candle ticks all the boxes of what I was looking for.  It's 100% natural, made simply from pure non-GM, sustainable soy wax and high quality essential oils.  The scent is incredible; it's sweet (almost like sherbert!), with a touch of floral, lots of zest and some woodiness which makes it very unique.  The end result is uplifting and invigorating, but there's something calming about it as well.  In a nutshell, it's a beautifully made, eco-friendly and luxurious candle with excellent scent throw and a to-die for scent.  What more could you ask for?!

This Heartwood Candle Company Candle* burns for around 25-30 hours and retails for £18.  Available direct from heartwoodcandlecompany.co.uk
