To go with the flow of the seasons (and because my skin tends to change with it), I like to switch up my skincare by taking out a few things and introducing some new bits.
Organic Surge Orange Flower Toner* (200ml, £6.50, link)
I've been wanting to try out an orange flower toner for a long time after reading up on the many benefits of its regenerating and healing properties. Generally, I stick to rose water toners, but with the promise of warmer weather on the way, it seemed like the perfect time to make a subtle switch. This one from Organic Surge is 98.8% natural, feels soothing on the skin and has a lovely light citrus scent. I like to pour a tiny amount directly into my palms and then gently press it into my skin, but you can also use it with a cotton wool pad to remove any excess cleanser or to just freshen up with.
The New Face Mask
Pulpe De Vie Sweet Frappe Radiant Face Mask and Scrub* (75ml, £19.50, link)
Pulpe De Vie is a new natural and organic, high end French brand, that I've been introduced to recently. Their products are predominantly fruit based which caught my attention (being a fruit lover and all!), and I think their packaging is very cute and youthful. Over the past few weeks, I've been testing out their Sweet Frappe Face Mask which is a 2-in-1 job in that it both repairs and brightens the skin, as well as gently exfoliating it. It contains ingredients such as 30% Grapefruit Oil, Cucumber Extract and Lavender Honey to renew and refresh tired looking skin, so I love using it after a heavy weekend or when I haven't gotten much sleep. It's a great little pick me up to have in your beauty stash as it gets to work in only 5 minutes and smells good enough to eat.
The New Exfoliator
Living Nature Vitalising Exfoliant* (50ml, £27.50, link)
If you're looking for a new exfoliator that isn't a scrubby one, then this is the product for you. The lightweight gel formula uses Active Manuka Honey and fruit acids to effectively remove dead skin cells and impurities, whilst stimulating cell renewal in a gentle, non abrasive way. You apply a thin layer to the skin, leave on for about 15-20 minutes and then rinse it off. It feels slightly tacky and a little tingly, but I didn't experience any irritation, though the scent of it is very sweet and slightly on the cloying side. The results were instantly noticeable to me in terms of my face looking brighter and healthier so it gets a big thumbs up! I'd definitely compare it to the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask for what it does for the skin, and don't be shocked by the compact packaging, it still fits in a full 50ml of product.
