January Favourites

Tuesday, 4 February 2014

I don't know about you, but I for one am beyond happy that January is finally over and we're now a month closer to Spring (and hopefully some sunshine!).  Despite the persistent rain, grey skies and freezing cold winds, it was a surprisingly positive month for discovering some new beauty favourites.

All of this dreadful weather has been playing havoc with my skin, so it's little wonder that there a few key winter skin saviours being featured in my favourites today.  I've been slathering on Pai Comfrey & Calendula Calming Body Cream all over my body and love the light, non-greasy texture, whilst I've been using Steamcream* for those extra, extra dry bits.  My new BFF has materialised into a tin of Conscious Skincare Soothing Hand Cream* and I've been rubbing a small amount of this rich butter into my hands every night before going to bed.  This trio of moisurisers has been working really well for me and keeping my skin hydrated and protected against the elements.

Meanwhile, my face has been head over heels in love with Odylique Superfruit Concentrate*.  This 100% organic face oil is seriously incredible, so if you're in the market for a new serum/oil you definitely need to check it out.  I adore everything about it, especially the clever little 'push button pipette' which dispenses the oil drop by drop so you don't waste anything.

Makeup wise, I've mostly been content with shopping my stash as I'm determined to use up a few things before buying anything new, but I did discover the awesomeness that is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.  This helps to give a beautiful flawless looking finish and works perfectly with a range of liquid bases from light tints to fuller coverage formulas.  I've also been enjoying using the new B. Vibrant Lip & Cheek Colours* with my favourite shade being Prom, an easy to wear, cool toned, pink nude.

What are your current beauty favourites?

    1. Yeah it doesn't really have a much of a scent to it - I find most Pai products aren't big on scents x

  10. So sorry to hear that the weather has effected your skin quite a bit! I've never really had the chance living in asia to experience the change of skin due to dry cold weather. It's always just super hot, humid or wet, never really dry and cold! Thanks for sharing!
