August Empties / Products I've Used Up

Sunday, 1 September 2013

Empties time!  You all know the drill by now; so here are the products I've finished off this month, my thoughts on them, and whether I'll be repurchasing them in the future or not.

DGJ Organics Hangover Hair Luxury Shampoo & Conditioner* - (review)
These two bottles have been lingering around in my bathroom for quite some time, so I made it my mission to finally use them.  The shampoo is a good one to use for detoxing your hair i.e getting rid of any build up, but the conditioner didn't do much for my dry hair.  My main bugbear with these two was that they left my hair more frizzy than usual which was annoying!  Repurchase? No, I prefer the DGJ Glossy Brunettes range a lot more.

Lush Dream Cream
I absolutely love this stuff and have been through so many pots of it.  I always reach for it when my skin is feeling particularly dry or if its experiencing an eczema flareup.  It just soothes everything and makes my skin happy and soft again.  Repurchase? Already have.

Essential Care Organic Coconut Candy Scrub* - (review)
One of my HG body scrubs, this is simply amazing and so pure that you can actually eat it!  But I think it's much better used as an actual scrub ;)  It smells just like sweet coconut, and leaves my skin feeling unbelievably soft afterwards.  Definitely one to use as a luxury pampering treat.  Repurchase?  Yes, it's on my xmas wishlist!

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel
I've been carefully rationing this out since last xmas so I'm sad to see this used up.  It smells like sugary sweet candy floss and is bright pink - what's not to love?!  Repurchase?  Yes, I'll be eagerly awaiting its return to Lush this year.

The London Oil Company Sweet Cheeks Face Oil & Morning Glory Body Oil* - (review)
Both of these samples were such a pleasure to use.  The face oil lasted about 5-6 months because you only need to use the tiniest amount each time, and it gives a lovely natural glow to your complexion.    The body oil smells like heaven in a bottle so I saved it for special occasions.  Repurchase?  Will definitely consider once I've used up some other similar products.

JASON Lips Bee Healthier Lip Balm
Lovely simple lip balm that's great for hydrating dry lips and has a pleasant cooling peppermint flavour.  It's like an organic version of Burt's Bees classic formula lip balm.  Repurchase?  Yes.

Laidbare DIY Two In One Cleanser & Toner* - (review)
This has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine and I think this is the third tube of it I've used up since discovering it last year.  It gets rid of most make-up easily and works well as part of a double cleanse - a fab budget buy.  Repurchase?  Yes.

Which beauty products have you used up recently?

    1. It's gorgeous, the texture is so thick but melts into the skin due to the coconut oil in it :)

  4. Where do they sell the Jason? There was a littl flurry of free ones - free gift with Feel Unique, Glossybix etc, but I've never seen them for sale.

    1. You can buy JASON from online sites like Feel Unique, Natureshealthbox & Naturisimo, as well as their own website. Bigger Holland & Barrett shops sell them too, though sometimes the range can be limited so I generally buy mine from Feel Unique or Naturisimo :)

  10. Your Snow Fairy lasted a decent amount of time - with Christmas being practically around the corner! I've always wanted to get my hands on a bottle but never seem to be able to make it in time - it's always sold out :( I guess the whole LE schtick really does work. I've been meaning to try Dream Cream as well, but it's just a bit too pricey for something that I probably would be too lazy to even use all that often :p

    1. Shamefully I have about 5 or 6 shower gels on the go at the moment, so it was very easy for me to ration it out over the months! It used to sell out pretty fast over here a few years ago, but recently they seem to be making much bigger batches of it to meet customer demand. That said, people do seem to go crazy & stockpile the stuff! Hope you can get your hands on a bottle this xmas. Dream Cream is lovely if you have dry skin - next time you're in Lush ask them for a free sample to try out :)

  13. I really need to try Dream Cream... I suffer from eczema, especially in the wintertime, and I'm always looking for something to treat it that's not too harsh! And I think that Jason Lip Balm will be the next lip balm I purchase, sounds perfect :)
