Lavera Glossy Lips Lip Gloss in Almond Kiss* (6.5ml, £9.50)

When it comes to wearing make-up in the summer months, I always think less is more.  Most days, I'll just go with a light base, mascara, a little bronzer and a swipe of lip gloss.  Low maintenance at its best!  At the moment, I've been reaching for this Lavera Lip Gloss for that simple, fuss-free summer look.

Glossy Lips are part of Lavera's Trend make-up range which is based around natural, mineral and organic ingredients.  They're packaged in skinny, handbag friendly tubes and feature a typical doe foot applicator.

I was kindly sent one of these to try out in the shade Almond Kiss; a sheer, nude- caramel with fine, light reflecting, micro glitter which really help to make your lips look fuller with intense shine.  These glosses have a subtle vanilla-esque scent and contain organic shea butter to ensure they're moisturising on the lips (which they definitely are!).

Best of all though?  Glossy Lips are completely, 100% non-sticky!  They simply feel like water when you apply them which I love.  However, because of their lack of tackiness, the lasting power isn't the best, so you'll have to re-apply these regularly throughout the day to maintain the look.  That's generally the case with most sheer lip glosses that aren't sticky though, so it doesn't bother me at all.  I just like the fact they don't make my hair stick to my lips when I wear it!

Where do you stand with lipglosses - do you prefer them sticky and longer lasting or non-sticky and having to reapply them?

  6. Such a pretty light sheer shimmery shade! I've got quite a few glosses in my collection but barely ever touch them! I much rather a non sticker formulation that I have to reapply because sticky ones tend to build up little bits on the corners of my lips which I hate!
