New Handbag Staple: Jurlique Essence Of Rose Roll On Fragrance Oil

Jurlique Essence Of Rose Roll On Fragrance Oil* (11ml, £16.50)

This may come as a surprise, but I rarely wear perfume.  Main reason?  Headaches.  I'm one of those people who seems to be predisposed to getting headaches whenever I'm near particular substances, and perfume always manages to set them off.  When I discussed this with my friend Louise, she recommended that I try out a more natural perfume instead, as it may the use of certain chemicals found in mainstream ones which could be to blame.  I took her advice, and have finally found one that I can happily wear, without the threat of a migraine coming on.  Say hello to my new handbag staple from Jurlique!

Packaged in a slim glass bottle, Jurlique's Essence Of Rose is a sleek, roll on fragrance oil.  This format and size is perfect for popping into your handbag, and can be applied anytime, anywhere.  The shea butter carrier oil is non-greasy, so it's no problem dabbing a little onto your pulse points (neck, inside wrists, behind ears etc) whenever you feel like it.

This Essence Of Rose signature scent is said to evoke 'a perfect rose bouquet, capturing the essence of 10,000 rose petals' and that description really says it all.  The scent is fresh, floral, delicate, and quietly modern which I love.  I applied it to the inside of my wrists first thing in the morning, and found it lasted well throughout the day, though I have topped it up in the afternoon if it's been particularly hot outside.

Best of all though, this fragrance oil is free from parabens, silicones, PEG's, artificial colours and fragrances.  And you know what, I've haven't experienced any headaches from using it!  I need to investigate some more into natural perfumes, but for now, I'm loving my new Jurlique handbag staple.

Are you a fan of natural perfumes?
