I think it's time that I did another one of these posts isn't it? Here are my thoughts on five samples that I've used up recently.
A gentle skin-balancing cleanser for normal to combination skin types which is 98.8% natural. Despite containing no sulphates, it lathers up extremely well and removes nearly all traces of make-up, as well as daily grime. I liked this, but felt it would be perhaps too drying for me to use on a daily basis.
(2) John Masters Organics Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Wash
When I first opened this, I wanted to dive straight into the bottle - it smells AMAZING. Sort of reminds me of Vimto-meets-Fanta! I was worried that the scent might be too cloying when actually used in the shower but I was wrong, it's a lot more subtle and just really lovely. Huge thanks to Ana for sending this to me to try out!
(3) Eve Taylor Balancing Moisture Cream
This was a strange moisturiser for combination skin; the texture was nice and light, but it felt incredibly heavy and greasy on the skin. The scent wasn't good either, it's predominately basil that comes through rather than the rosewood in the formula, which I wasn't keen on at all.
(4) Korres Milk Proteins 3 in 1 Cleanser
I was so excited to try this out because I've heard so many positive things said about it, but I don't understand what the fuss is all about. It's a nice enough cleanser, which feels gentle and soothing, but it certainly doesn't live up to its 3 in 1 claims. Toning-wise it's awful because it felt like there was a residue left on my skin so I had to use my regular toner to remove this, and it struggled to shift my make-up too.
(5) Green People Cool Style Shower Wash
Technically this is from their men's range, but it would definitely appeal to women who like refreshing/wake-me-up shower gels. It contains mint and eucalyptus which are very stimulating for the senses, a must for those who have early morning showers.
Have you tried any of these?

Thanks N!
DeleteI have the Balance Me face wash but not used it yet. Thanks for the review on it as I'll be more aware of it possibly being too drying xx
ReplyDeleteIf your skin is oily, then I think you'd be fine with using it everyday, but if it's more combination, I'd say only use it every other day instead :) xx
