German Beauty Haul & A Giveaway! (CLOSED)

Monday, 17 June 2013

Hello, hello, I'm back!  Well I've had an interesting two weeks.  To cut a long story short, my fortnight in Germany lasted just four days due to the awful flooding in Southern Germany/ Bavaria and its surrounding countries.  My heart literally sank when I saw the weather reports on the news, and the afternoon before we were due to travel down to Munich, we received a phone call from our tour operator advising us to cancel our booking.  Argh!  However, none of our family in the Bavaria region were harmed in the floods or had to be evacuated, so I'm very grateful for that.  Anyway, I made the most of my short stay and even managed to pick up a few beauty things, so all's well that ends well right?!

Here's a brief rundown of what I picked up.  I haven't had chance to have a proper play with most of it yet, so do let me know if you'd like me to do reviews on anything!

Lavera Beauty Balm
This is their new 6 in 1 BB Cream which I had been eyeing up since it was released.  As I thought, it was MUCH cheaper to buy in its homeland so I'm glad I waited.

Lavera All Round Cream
I love this stuff.  It's thick, buttery and does exactly what it says on the tin.  Previously raved about it here.  I already have two in my stash, but saw it on offer for 3 euros and nearly died of happiness.  Seemed rude not to pick another one up!

Dresdner Essenz Naturell Pomegranate Body Oil
I was going to pick up a bottle of Weleda's Pomegranate Body Oil when I came across this amazing budget dupe from Dresdner Essenz for only 6 euros.  This brand are fantastic and have a whole range of BDIH Certified Natural goodies.

Weleda Almond Soothing Cleansing Milk
This has been on my wishlist forever and I know that many bloggers like Angelica have recommended it to me in the past.  Again, it was cheaper to buy in Germany so I bought one to finally try it out.

Yves Rocher 3 Minute Pomegranate Face Mask & Lipstick in 12
French brand Yves Rocher are everywhere in Europe and the town nearest to where my mum lives has its own little shop which was having a big summer sale.  I took advantage and bought a peel-off face mask and a pretty neutral pink lipstick for just 4 euros.

Alterra Naturkosmetik Concealer in 02 Medium & Lipstick in 06 Terra
I was excited to come across this budget natural make-up range by Rossmann, which is one of the big drugstore chains in Germany (imagine Superdrug plus organic health food & wine, heaven!).  I picked up a lipstick and concealer to try out to see what they're like.
