Is it really that time of the month again? Here are my empties/finished products for May, and my mini reviews about whether I'll be repurchasing any of them in the future.
My hair is very fickle when it comes to using shampoos and conditioners, and I generally like to chop and change between a few different bottles at any one time. Which probably explains why I've had these in my bathroom for almost a year now (oh, and they're enormous sizes too!), so I decided to finally finish them off. Both of these are SLS free, yet the shampoo does a great job of lathering up, so it's definitely one to try if you've been disappointed by other SLS free shampoos. I liked the shampoo a lot, but found the conditioner wasn't really hydrating enough for my dry ends. Repurchase? No for the Conditioner, but would consider the Shampoo again in the future.
Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer*
Another product that's huge and has lasted for months was this lovely toner from Liz Earle. It's refreshing, soothing, and also works well as a light setting spray over mineral foundation. Repurchase? Yes, already have another full size and a travel size in my stash.
LUSH Ponche Shower Gel - (review)
I've been rationing out this little bottle since xmas and I'm sad to see it used up as it was Limited Edition. I loved this fruity and boozy shower gel for morning showers. Repurchase? Definitely will if LUSH bring it back this xmas.
The London Oil Company Sleepy Head Body Oil* - (review)
Very much enjoyed using this sample bottle before bedtime to help send me off to the land of nod. Gorgeous blend of relaxing essential oils and the oil itself was very moisturising, albeit a tiny bit greasy, but I don't mind that too much with these kinds of products. Repurchase? Maybe as a treat, though I'm more likely to pick up a full size of their amazing Morning Glory Body Oil instead.
Neal's Yard Remedies Rose Facial Oil* - (review)
I initially only used this face oil once a week as it was slightly too rich for my combination skin, but as we had a bitterly cold winter, I found myself using it on a daily basis and loved it. It helped to deeply moisturise my dehydrated skin and give it some of its glow back. You also only need to use a small amount each time, so it lasts for months. Repurchase? I have a few other face oils to use up at the moment, but it's something I would pick up again, especially in Winter.
Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Rhubarb - (review)
I'm a huge fan of tinted lip balms so it's no surprise that I've used this one up. These Lip Shimmers from Burt's Bees have their classic peppermint balm formula combined with natural pigment, Rhubarb being a pretty deep pink. Repurchase? Yes.
