Bodhi Spa Soirée Event, Birmingham

Friday, 10 May 2013

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending an evening of luxury pampering courtesy of Bodhi who are currently in the process of launching brand new products to add to their Artisan Series.  It was an intimate event hosted at The Penthouse / Staying Cool at The Rotunda in Birmingham, which offered stunning views of the city.  The evening consisted of expert treatments, delicious canapes, wine & blended teas, and of course, a chance to experience the new products first hand.

For those new to Bodhi (and where on earth have you been?!), they are a luxurious, natural English company who pride themselves on creating products which are both beneficial to the skin and to the mind & senses (with their incredible aromatherapy blends).  By ethically sourcing the very best natural ingredients and taking inspiration from different cultures around the world, they're able to create products which are a pleasure to use, whilst respecting the Environment at the same time.  With Bodhi, you really do get the best of both worlds.

The event introduced everyone to Bodhi's latest offerings such as the much anticipated Neroli Lucé Revitalising Face Oil (as above) which accompanies the Desert Rose Rejuvenating Face Oil that initially launched the Artisan Series last year, (reviewed here).  The two new body massage oils, Flora Paradiso (for de-stressing) and Ginger Brew (for deep tissue massages) were also a welcome addition to the range, both smelt and felt amazing on the skin.

Being a balm junkie, I was also delighted to see two brand new balms which are launching in June.  The Mint Thé Temple Balm is one that helps to soothe tension headaches and travel sickness, and the gorgeous Cacao Cocoon Lip Treatment Balm.  Both of course immediately leapt onto my birthday wishlist!

The surprising star of the show however, was most definitely the Rosemary Chi Himalayan Detox Salt Scrub which wowed everyone who came into contact with it.  It's Bodhi's founder, Elijah's favourite new product, and I can't wait to get into the bathroom this weekend to give it a go myself.

The highly revered Bath & Shower Therapies were also on display for guests to try out.  I'm a huge fan of the Ylang Ylang and Jasmine Falls scents (reviewed here), with the formulas being some of the best bath & shower products I've ever used.  If you appreciate luxury bath products, you'll want to check these out asap.

If getting to play with the new products wasn't good enough, Bodhi also arranged for guests to experience treatments with them.  I booked in for a Flora Paradiso De-Stress Massage and drank a delicious specially selected blended tea (above) before the treatment to fully benefit from it.  The massage was absolutely delightful and just what I needed after a difficult week.  Other guests were treated to facials and different massages, and all came out smiling and relaxed.

At the end of the evening, I was given a most generous goody bag which contained full sizes of three of the new products I've mentioned above; Rosemary Chi Himalayan Detox Salt Scrub, Flora Paradiso De-Stress Massage & Body Oil, and Neroli Lucé Revitalising Face Oil.  I will certainly be enjoying a pampering weekend at home soon, and will post full reviews shortly.

I'd like to thank Elijah and everyone at Bodhi for organising such a lovely evening, and to Jessica for the divine massage!  It was also a pleasure to finally meet some fellow beauty bloggers such as Ana, Andy, Danny and Bare Faced Chic!

Have you tried any Bodhi products?
