Shopping The Stash: Spring Make-Up Edit

Thursday, 18 April 2013

With the season finally starting to change properly into Spring, I decided to do a little 'Shopping The Stash' to reacquaint myself with some forgotten make-up favourites and get myself in the mood for a lighter, brighter look.

MAC Sheertone Blush in Coygirl (review)
I do swap my blushers around with the seasons and have recently started to reach for Coygirl again after neglecting it over winter.  This blue/purple toned cool pink has a lovely wearable brightness about it and like all the sheertone blushers from MAC, is super easy to apply.

MAC Powder Blush in Mighty Aphrodite from the Wonder Woman collection
I love this blush and really should wear it more often.  The large part is a light peachy coral with a hint of gold shimmer and the smaller part is a deeper pink with shimmer.  Swirling a big blush brush over both sections gives a very spring/summery glow to the cheeks.

Benefit High Beam (review)
It's not often that I use liquid highlighters, but I've been enjoying playing with High Beam again which is one of the classics in the beauty world and for good reason.

Inika Mineral Eyeshadow in Peach Fetish (review)
I wore this a lot last year, it looks especially amazing when used wet for a metallic peachy/pink look.

Everyday Minerals Eyeshadow in Rare Silk
This is an easy neutral base to wear for everyday, but has a touch of fine shimmer in it to help brighten up the eyes.

Benefit Benetint (review)
Another old favourite of mine that I always pick up when the weather is good.  Benetint is great for getting a freshly pinched / healthy spring glow.

Revlon Lip Butters in Berry Smoothie and Strawberry Shortcake (review)
No Shopping The Stash post can be complete without giving a mention to last year's most hyped beauty product.  I haven't been wearing many of mine much throughout Winter, but now is the time for them to come out and play again!

Have you been shopping your stash for Spring make-up?

  2. This is probably really bad but I never really switch up my make up to match the seasons. I do with a few things like lippy but I usually just wear whatever I fancy that day or more often than not, whatevers closest to hand. lol

    1. I think that's a completely normal response! I'm a bit fickle with some of my make-up and like to chop and change a lot xx
