Mavala S/S13 Nail Polishes* (5ml, £4.50 each, link)
The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed a lack of NOTDs on here recently, so like buses, I'm going to bombard you with four at once! I was recently sent the new S/S13 nail polishes from Mavala to play with and I have been enjoying their pastel coloured goodness. These shades are so perfect for Spring!
Lagoon is beautiful baby blue with a hint of shimmer. I've always loved these shades of blue and think they're ideal if you find other pastels a little too girly. Applies easily in two coats.
White is well, your standard white! It's a good solid straight up white that would be perfect for nail art designs. Like Lagoon, it's opaque in just two coats.
Aquamarine is my favourite of the lot. I've always had a fondness for mint greens and this one is a beauty. It has a slightly thinner formula than the previous two, so it required three coats to achieve a good covering. The subtle gold shimmer however, makes the extra effort more than worthwhile.
Lemon Cream is a true pastel yellow and shares the same subtle shimmer that Lagoon and Aquamarine has. The formula was on the thin side, so it took around 3-4 coats. Lemon Cream was the base coat that Mavala's Ambassador, Jenni Draper, used to create this unique nail look for the Holly Fulton LFW Show.
Mavala nail polishes are free from parabens, formaldehydes, toulene, camphore, cellophane, animal ingredients and heavy metals. They are available from John Lewis and Debenhams.
Have you tried any nail polishes by Mavala?
