My Favourite Winter Lip Colours
Monday, 23 December 2013
This has been the first Autumn/Winter where I've really gone all out and experimented with lots of different lip colours. I'm certainly not the bravest or most confident person though, so I wanted to do a post on the lip products which have helped to ease me out of my usually neutral- coloured comfort zone and into the more berry hued, darker pinks and red shades typically associated with this season.
Currently Loving: Crazy Rumors Gingerbread Lip Balm review - Limited Edition flavour & now in the UK!
Tuesday, 17 December 2013
Back in October, I raved about my first ever Crazy Rumors Lip Balm (the Amaretto flavour, so damn yummy) and how much I loved it so. A few people were asking where you can buy these in the UK and I had to direct them to various online places as they're a US brand. But now Crazy Rumors have been launched in Holland and Barrett - hooray!

Review: So Susan Lacquerlove Launch Box (UK Nail Polish Subscription Box!)
Thursday, 12 December 2013
When the beauty box craze first happened in the UK, many consumers were left wondering when a dedicated make-up or nail polish box would be introduced. A very, very long time later and there's finally one available thanks to So Susan.
Review & Swatches: B. at Superdrug - Rich Colour Lip Gloss in Morello, Poppy & Bambi, Vibrant Eye Shimmers in Rockstar & Lizzie and Lenghtening, Defining & Volumising Mascara
Wednesday, 11 December 2013
Every now and then, I spot a new make-up brand in a highstreet/drugstore shop that I can't believe I haven't come across before. One such instance of this revelation was when I discovered the B. range in Superdrug recently. The whole line is cruelty-free BUAV approved, and suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Handbag Staple: Mendill Organic Towelettes / Wet Wipes
Friday, 6 December 2013
When it comes to wet wipes, I have two rules. 1. Use them sparingly and try to stick to using them just for the three Fs (Flights, Festivals and Fannies - thank you Caroline Hirons!) and 2. Spend a bit more and purchase ones which are as natural as possible. I usually stick to Organyc but when these samples from Mendill dropped through my letterbox, I was intrigued to give them a go.

Review & Swatches: Liz Earle Healthy Glow Cream Blush in Rose, Light Reflecting Concealer in Medium & Signature Lip Colour in Hibiscus
Wednesday, 4 December 2013
Liz Earle's make-up range launched to much fanfare last year and continues to go from strength to strength. I've mentioned and raved about a couple of their products such as the amazing Signature Foundation and Lash Definition Mascara in the past, so I was excited to get my hands on a few more pieces to try out.

My Favourite Highlighters
Wednesday, 20 November 2013
Highlighters can be strange things. Pick the wrong one, and you could have a glittery, discoball mess gracing the tops of your cheekbones. But pick the right one, and your face can (almost) completely transform into that of some mystical goddess. So it's time I sung the praises of the ones that I love and cherish in my make-up collection.

Luxury Xmas Gift Idea: Bodhi Bloom Bath & Body Gift Set
Saturday, 16 November 2013
If you've been following my blog for a long time, you'll no doubt already know that I'm a big fan of Bodhi. This luxury English brand creates some of the most beautiful pampering bath and body products (as well as some amazing skincare). They recently unveiled their new Christmas gift sets which are based around the theme of Christmas in the tropics or "Noël Tropicale".
Apivita Review Part 1: Aqua Vita 24H Moisturising Cream-Gel, Natural Serum, Moisturising Hand Cream & Lip Care with Honey
Friday, 15 November 2013
Apivita are a Greek brand who have been around since 1979. I'd never heard of them before they came to the UK last year, but they quickly became adored by bloggers and regular natural products lovers alike. I've used their raved about Face Masks, but never explored the rest of their range until now.
5 Mini Reviews: Essential Care, Pomegranate Organics, Korres, Weleda & Wen
Tuesday, 12 November 2013
Here are five samples that I've used up recently, featuring a mix of haircare, skincare and bodycare. I plucked them out of my travel bag at the weekend when I was swapping around some products and gave myself a little pat on the back for finally using some more samples up! (I'm weird, I know... lol) Anyway! Onto the mini reviews.

Cold Weather Proofing the Beauty Routine
Wednesday, 6 November 2013
I chop and change the products that I use in my beauty routine all year round, but I take matters more seriously when it starts to get cold. My skin, like my general self, does not like cold weather and would much prefer it if it was moved to a pleasantly mild and sunny destination right about now. Sadly, that's not on the cards for the immediate future, so it's time to suck it up and get down to the business of protecting it from the evil, dehydrating, coldness that's rapidly approaching.
Xmas Gift Idea / Stocking Filler: Tangle Teezer Compact Styler in Pink / Black review
Monday, 4 November 2013
I've mentioned my love for the Original Tangle Teezer a couple of times; that cult plastic hairbrush that makes combing thick or long hair a breeze. I popped into TK Maxx yesterday to have a browse, and came out with this unexpected purchase - the Tangle Teezer Compact Styler, for only £5! It's the perfect travel / handbag companion.
I Love Fall / Autumn Tag!
Friday, 1 November 2013
The lovely Tania from Bow Tied Beauty recently tagged me in the I Love Fall Tag. I have to admit that I'm definitely more of a summer lover at heart, but there are a couple of things that I do like about Autumn:-
October Empties / Products I've Used Up

Review & Swatches: Nvey Eco Eyeshadow Duo in Mahogany Shroom, Nourishing Bronzer and Hydrating Lip Lustre in Amour Rose
Tuesday, 29 October 2013
Nvey Eco are a natural make-up brand which features Natrue certified organic ingredients in its products. They're from Australia, but are easily available via online retailers such as Naturisimo and CutECOsmetics. They're a brand I've seen countless times on green blogs and via Aussie Youtubers, so I was really excited when I was sent three of their products to have a play with. Here are my thoughts!
The Perfect Night In (with a Neom candle of course)
Monday, 28 October 2013
Despite the advance storm warnings, one can never truly predict how these things will play out, so I hope you're all reading this from somewhere safe and warm today. On a lighter note, I'm going to get cosy on my sofa and share my idea of a perfect night in. This is something I will be looking forward to a lot more now that the clocks have gone back and those dark, cold nights are drawing in.
5 Mini Reviews: Redken, Antipodes, L'Occitane, Eve Of St Agnes & L'Oreal
Tuesday, 22 October 2013
I have seriously been slacking on the samples front! My Wonder Woman tin is full to bursting again so it's time to get it back under control. To kick things off, I've managed to finish these five off recently which have been stashed away in my travel bag. Here are my thoughts on them.
Review & Photos: Foxy Hair Extensions Plaited Hair Band in 4 / Dark Brown
Monday, 21 October 2013
A friend of mine is having a Game Of Thrones themed party for her birthday next week, so I've been attempting to recreate some of the gorgeous plaited hairstyle looks from the show. Sadly my skills are definitely lacking in this area, but I've found an easy way to fake it in the form of this ready made plaited hairband.

The Mid-Week / Post Flu Pampering Session
Wednesday, 16 October 2013
Rain and cold winds are sweeping across England as I speak, so all I want to do is stay inside where it's nice and warm. I've been feeling a bit run down with the flu recently, so what better way to cheer myself up than with a little mid-week pampering. After this session, I'll be feeling back to my usual self in no time.
