Ciate Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar (£38, link)
When I first saw this Ciate Advent Calendar causing beauty bloggers and nail polish junkies everywhere to squee with sheer delight, I told myself that I wasn't going to get it. As I'm saving up to visit my mum in Germany soon, I am on a STRICT spending ban. Under no circumstances am I to splurge on completely unnecessary beauty purchases until after my trip. Well...
I was in Birmingham today for a work thing and popped into Selfridges to get some lunch. I know, I know, huge mistake already. Has anyone ever been into Selfridges and not come out with an unplanned purchase? It's virtually impossible to do. Those who have survived and left empty handed must have the most incredible willpower. Kudos to you!
To be honest, I expected these Ciate calendars to have been completely sold out by now given the hype on Twitter et al. So when I saw the last two, I had to pick one up. It was meant to be after all.
The Ciate Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar contains 24 mini (5ml) Ciate nail polishes; 17 of which are from their bestselling range, 4 are mini Caviar blends (the ones with the little beads!) and 3 are exclusive to this calendar glitter shades. It comes complete with a mini funnel for the Caviar ones too.
These are the nail polishes that are behind all of those numbered doors and I can't wait to see what the exclusive glitter ones look like. I am loving the look of Cookies and Cream, Ladylike Luxe, Headliner and Vintage especially. Plus I've yet to try the Caviar trend so I'm interested to see whether I'll like - I'm still kinda on the fence at the moment, but that may all change when they're actually on my nails.
Although £38 is a lot of money, you do get excellent value here. Each polish works out at around £1.60 each which really isn't too bad! Well that's how justifying it to myself anyway ;)
There are still some in stock on the Selfridges website and as pay day looms, I expect the rest will go quickly!
Will you be picking up the Ciate Advent Calendar or any other luxury beauty calendars this year?

So far I've managed to wind my neck in everytime I almost order this but to be honest I don't know how much longer that will last. I'm getting weaker by the day!

I can't wait, the temptation is killing me lol :D x
DeleteYay!! I had to give in and get one of these. It's taking all of my restraint not to open it now... for the record, I can never walk into Selfridges and come out empty handed - i think they have some sort of magnetic purchase forcefield ;)

ReplyDeleteAnd I was in Selfridges last year and I totally agree with you! ;)
There were so many girls looking at them in Selfridges, I can imagine it's been the same in Sephora! x
DeleteOh you are kidding me, this is the cutest thing I've ever seen, how I escaped the hype so far is beyond me! £38 is pretty pricey though, I'm not sure whether I love nail polish more than chocolate, chocolate advent calendars turn me into a five year old every morning without fail opening the windows!
ReplyDeleteChocolate is pretty high on my list of things I love, but I couldn't pass this up :D
DeleteI would love to have this advent calander.Looks amazing but pricey!!
