If you're anything like me, you'll have been slathering lip balm on like it's going out of fashion this week, what with the weather turning very chilly here in the UK. With so many tinted lip balm/care variants on the market, I was pleased to come across this lip care/ lip gloss hybrid by NUXE.
NUXE's Baume Prodigieux Levres Nutri-Protecting Lip Care comes in four different shades (a red, pink, brown and natural crystal, the latter of which I have). It's packaged in a luxe looking tube, complete with a classy gold metallic lid. The balm/gloss is dispensed via a doe foot applicator and it has a slight fruity flavour to it.
This lip balm/lip gloss hybrid is one of those fab products that lives up to its 'best of both worlds' promise:-
For the lip care side, you have a nourishing protective formula that features mango and shea butters, as well as sunflower and sweet almond oils. Plant filling spheres and Vitamin E smooth out and replump the lips making lips look fuller and younger. On top of all of this, it even comes with SPF 15 to further protect the lips - a great option for those looking for lip care on cold sunny days.
For gloss, well you have gloss and lots of it! Natural Crystal is a mostly clear gloss (there's a hint of nude about it) with lots of iridescent shimmer. Plus it's non-sticky too, win-win!
I picked this up from Alice's blog sale at a much more affordable price, but if I was splurging (or happened to be in France where NUXE is a bit cheaper) I would certainly consider checking out the other shades, especially the bright red one!
Do you prefer your make-up to have protective elements like extra SPF?

DeleteOooh! A bright red one sounds fantastic! I wish they were here!
ReplyDeleteI hope NUXE branch out to you - it used to be a bit difficult to find them in the UK, but recently they seem to be getting stocked everywhere!
DeleteI'm glad you like it. :) x
ReplyDeleteI love it, want to get some more :) x
DeleteThis sounds really nice. Love the fact it's got SPF in. Something that is really important on the lips. Especially if like, people get cold sores etc.
ReplyDeleteShame about the gloss though, so ill have to give it a miss lol x
I agree, always good to get lip care with an SPF in it :)
DeleteHaha I think the beauty bloggers fav NUXE Reve De Miel would be more suitable for you ;) x
At first I saw this product and thought it was a foundation! Such a nude colour-packaging is beautiful. Thanks for the review Evelyn :)

DeleteI'm hoping my new (not yet opened) M&S Beauty Hall will be stocking Nuxe, it's a brand I would like to know more about.
ReplyDeleteMy nearest isn't opened yet either, so hopefully they will stock NUXE when they do! I love their products and it'd save me buying everything online x
DeleteThis is to cute
ReplyDeleteGreat review, I keep seeing so many amazing reviews for Nuxe! The only downside seems to be the price with their products, although sounds like it might be worth splurging :p xx
ReplyDeleteYeah they are pricey sadly :( I need to take a trip to France to take full advantage of the exchange rate! xx
