Swatched: Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liner in 04 Forever

Friday, 14 September 2012

Liquid eyeliners have never been a staple in my make-up bag.  I generally prefer gels or pencils, but this has all changed after trying out Milani's Infinite Liquid Eye Liner.  Oh my is this stuff good!

I received this a while back in my US drugstore swap and I've seen so many positive reviews on loads of blogs about these liquid eye liners.  The shade that Betzy sent me is called 04 Forever, which is a beautiful dark metallic gold and its these shades that I always reach for when I feel like I'm in a black liner rut.

What I like about this liner is, well everything!  The formula is neither too thin nor too thick, the pigmentation is fantastic, the shape of the brush allows you to draw a thin or thicker line with ease and best of all?  It stays put!  I find so many liquid eyeliners smudge or disappear on my oily lids, but Milani's Infinite Liquid Eye Liner really does live up to its 24 hour wear time claim.

There are two problems though (isn't there always?) - it's pretty hard to remove, especially if you draw a thick line.  This liner just wants to STAY PUT!  Best way I've found is to soak two cotton wool rounds in a good make-up remover/micellar water and then gently leave them on over your closed eyes for a good 15 minutes.  Secondly, Milani seems quite hard to get hold of in the UK (if you know of anywhere that stocks it, let me know!).

In a nutshell, this is one of the best liquid eyeliners that I've tried so far, another great budget beauty buy from the US!

Have you tried these liners?  Do you like liquid eye liners?
