Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Rose and Lavender Prince's Trust Special Edition (150ml, £19.75, link)*

Simplicity is something that is often lacking in the beauty world, especially when it comes to skincare.  The newest and latest product releases often scream 'high tech' or feature a brand new pioneering ingredient which promises to make your skin 'glow from within' (or something...).  Thankfully, there are many skincare brands who still like to keep things simple and Liz Earle is simply one of the best ones for it.  Case in point, their brand new release which is a simple twist on a much loved favourite of mine.

When I first heard that Liz Earle were bringing out a Special Edition product in conjunction with their current work with The Prince's Trust, I was so excited to see what the end result would be.  I was even more excited when they finally unveiled it as a new version of Cleanse & Polish!

I have been a big fan of C&P for several months now and it's one of those products that is a firm staple in my Evening Skincare Routine.  It just works so well for me and I feel like my skin has definitely improved and become clearer since using it.

However, I know a lot of people who love the thick, cream formula of C&P (and the skincare results of course), but really dislike the strong herbal scent that accompanies it.  I like it and find it quite refreshing to use, but I can understand why it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.

The new Special Edition Cleanse & Polish has Rose and Lavender essential oils blended into the formula to give it a beautifully gentle and soothing floral scent which I absolutely love.  It's such a pleasure to use this in the evenings and so relaxing too.  I'll definitely be wanting to stock up on this and the packaging is so pretty too!

Why has the new Cleanse & Polish been created?

Liz Earle Beauty Co. is the exclusive beauty partner for The Prince’s Trust Tomorrow campaign which launched in spring 2012.  Tomorrow was created to inspire the next generation and is pairing six Trust-supported young people with iconic mentors to create a product that will be retailed nationwide to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust.

Liz Earle has mentored Rebecca Taylor, 26, a young entrepreneur supported by The Prince’s Trust. The result of the collaboration is the Cleanse & Polish Rose and Lavender Prince’s Trust Special Edition - giving a much-loved beauty essential a new twist for an exceptional cause.

The Prince’s Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives and provides practical and financial support to 13 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.  Since 1976, The Prince’s Trust has helped more than 700,000 young people and supports 100 more each working day.  Last year, more than three in four young people helped by The Trust moved into work, education or training.

The Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Rose and Lavender Prince’s Trust Special Edition launches on 6th September 2012 and will be available from Liz Earle Stores, the Customer Centre on 01983 813913, lizearle.com, John Lewis, and on QVC.  Liz Earle Beauty Co. are donating £2.00 from every product purchased to The Prince’s Trust.  More info here.

What do you think about the Liz Earle collaboration with The Prince's Trust?  Will you be purchasing the new Special Edition Rose and Lavender Cleanse & Polish?

    1. Me too it's gorgeous! I know, I think a lot of people would perhaps prefer the floral scent of this to the herbal scent of the original xx

  5. I love the design of the packaging! I literally just bought a new C&P two weeks ago so can't really justify buying another at the minute, but I'm guessing this will go down a treat for many who aren't a fan of the original scent! xx

I need to order some more C&P and have just seen this new one on their website, so i wanted to check to see if anyone had blogged about it, and here i am :)

Did you find any difference to your skin using this new one? Any drying? I'm really interested to know how it compares to the original C&P.

    1. Hi Claire, thanks for following! :) I've been using this new version since the start of the month and I haven't noticed any difference between this one and the original one, no drying etc. I've seen some people mention that this one suits their dry skin more because of the Rose essential oils, but I have oily/combination skin so can't personally comment on that! I'd say that overall the main difference is just the lovely new scent :) Hope that helps, let me know what you think if you try it! :) xx
