5 Mini Reviews: Ogario, Bamford, Dr. Nick Lowe & balance Me

Sunday, 23 September 2012

Time for another round of the 5 Mini Reviews series.  Basically for this post, I pick 5 samples to try out, use them up and then share my thoughts on them.  Simples!

(1) Ogario Restore and Shine Hair Masque
Ogario are a new haircare brand discovery for me and I applied for this free sample of their Restore and Shine Hair Masque when they were giving them away as part of an Olympics promotion.  The hair masque was so lovely to use and gave my hair a lot of body and shine, without it being frizzy.  The scent is absolutely gorgeous too, very citrusy, mmmm!  I am very tempted to save up for a full size pot of this or add it to my xmas wishlist!

(2) Bamford Geranium Body Lotion
This was another product that smelt really good.  It has geranium, lavender and peppermint essential oils in it, with the latter being the one that comes through the strongest.  A light and non-greasy body lotion which absorbs into the skin straight away and is very hydrating too.

(3) Bamford Geranium Body Wash
Although this has the same uplifting and refreshing scent as the matching body lotion above, I found the formula of this body wash a little too drying for my liking.  So if I were to splash out and purchase one of these full size, it would definitely be on the body lotion.

(4) balance Me Radiance Treatment Mask*
I featured this in a Favourites post a few months ago and this is my second sample tube that I've used up.  I still love it and think that it works really well as a 3 in 1 mask (it hydrates, exfoliates and deep cleans all at the same time), but for instant radiance results, I prefer to use my Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask instead.

(5) Dr. Nick Lowe Oil Control Anti Blemish Day Cream
Another product that I featured in the same Favourites post above and I've also used up about six sample tubes of this!  I do really rate it, but I won't be investing in a full size pot until next summer, purely because my skin is currently doing its usual seasonal change of becoming a tiny bit drier and less oily at the moment.  However, if you have just oily skin and not oily/combination, then I can't recommend this face cream highly enough.

Have you tried any of these products?

    1. They're quite pricey, but their products are mostly natural and if they're anything like the hair masque, they're well worth it IMO :) xx

  2. i had a sample of the dr nick lowe cream too - i absolutely loved it but it didn't do anything for my dry patches so i needed a really moisturising night cream to balance it out

    1. Yeah I found the same thing - it worked so well during summer when my skin goes into oily overdrive, but now it's settling to more combination type skin, it's just not working as well for me so I've had to switch moisturisers xx

    1. It's really good, I think they sell the travel size tubes of it so you can try before getting a full size :)
