Tried & Tested: Bumble and Bumble Creme De Coco Masque

Thursday, 27 September 2012

Bumble and Bumble Creme De Coco Masque (150ml, £21.50, link)*

If you've been following my blog for a while, you may have picked up on the fact that I love anything coconut scented.  So when this tube of Bumble and Bumble Creme De Coco Masque popped through my letterbox, the very first thing I did was have a good old sniff.  And believe me when I say it smells oh-so-good!  But what did my hair think of it?

September Books List

It was so nice to get my teeth stuck into some great fiction after non-fiction August!  Here are the books I have read for leisure in September including one non-fiction book that I managed to finish last night.

Review: Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer - Blemish & Shine Control

Wednesday, 26 September 2012

Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer - Blemish & Shine Control (30ml, £29, link)*

Today's post is something of a rave review, so you'll have to forgive me if I start jumping up and down with excitement whilst I'm describing this wonder product to you.

Tag: 10 Products I Would Repurchase

Tuesday, 25 September 2012

There have been some good tags doing the rounds on the blogosphere once again, and this one has been a recent favourite mine to read.  These are the 10 products that I would repurchase straight away if they randomly decided to disappear one day!  It was very difficult to pick just 10 of course, so all of these naturally fall into that coveted Holy Grail pile for me and represent just a handful of the insane amount of products that I use on a regular basis.  I was tagged by CSI Beauty and I tag any #bbloggers who are reading this and fancy doing it!

Review: Liz Earle Signature Eye Colour in Forest and Blend & Contour Brush

Monday, 24 September 2012

Earlier this month I reviewed Liz Earle's Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara (link) which has been my current go-to mascara for everyday (especially in this dreary wet weather!).  I'm pleased to say that I've recently added two more Liz Earle make-up items to my morning routine, in the shape of their Signature Eye Colour and their Blend & Contour Brush.

5 Mini Reviews: Ogario, Bamford, Dr. Nick Lowe & balance Me

Sunday, 23 September 2012

Time for another round of the 5 Mini Reviews series.  Basically for this post, I pick 5 samples to try out, use them up and then share my thoughts on them.  Simples!

Joliebox - September 2012 - The LFW Edition

Saturday, 22 September 2012

 Joliebox (£10 per month + P&P, link)

This month's Joliebox arrived bright and early this morning.  Mine appears to be packaged in one of the special coloured boxes they brought out last month, so I'm guessing this is overstock?  Regardless, I love the blue colour and the London Fashion Week themed contents are non too shabby either.

Review: Read The Label 100% Raw Unrefined Organic Shea Butter Moisturiser & Stress Management Soap

Thursday, 20 September 2012

I came across this independent company a while back called Read The Label via Bow Tied Beauty's blog.  They're based in Finchley, London and specialise in hand making natural soaps and other products from 100% pure plant based ingredients.  I made a little order via their online shop and purchased two bars of their unrefined raw Shea Butter and a lovely bar of soap.

Review: Neal's Yard Remedies Bee Lovely Body Lotion & Busy Bee Balm

Tuesday, 18 September 2012

Taking an interest the environment has always been a passion of mine, especially as I currently study Environmental Science part-time.  One of the most alarming discoveries in recent years has been the worldwide decline of bees which directly threatens our entire ecosystem and our current way of life.  It's vital to save bees, so I was really happy to see one of Britain's most well known (and loved!) organic and natural highstreet brands, Neal's Yard Remedies, launching their Bee Lovely and Help Save The Bees Campaign for a second year running.  I was very kindly sent two products from their Bee Lovely range to try out.

Tried & Tested: JASON Brightening Apricot Scrubble (+ comparison with St Ives)

Monday, 17 September 2012

  JÄ€SÖN Brightening Apricot Scrubble (128ml, £5.29, link)*

I'm a huge fan of JÄ€SÖN's products (previous reviews here), and I have been trying out their much hyped Apricot Scrubble for the last few weeks.  I can certainly see why so many bloggers have been adding this scrub to their skincare routines, it's amazing!

Haircare Review: Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Dry Clean Revitalising Dry Shampoo

Sunday, 16 September 2012

Phil Smith Be Gorgeous Dry Clean Revitalising Dry Shampoo (75ml, £2.99, link)

I received this bright pink, handbag-friendly can of dry shampoo by Phil Smith in last month's Joliebox.  I have a serious love/hate relationship with aerosol dry shampoos, so how well did this one perform for me?

Swatched: Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liner in 04 Forever

Friday, 14 September 2012

Liquid eyeliners have never been a staple in my make-up bag.  I generally prefer gels or pencils, but this has all changed after trying out Milani's Infinite Liquid Eye Liner.  Oh my is this stuff good!

5 Mini Reviews: balance Me, Weleda, Burt's Bees, Juice Beauty & Lush

Thursday, 13 September 2012

5 Mini Reviews is going to be a new series I'll be posting on here.  Every now and again, I'll randomly pick 5 sample products from my overflowing Wonder Woman tin, use them up and then share my thoughts on each one (similar to Sandra's recent samples posts but on a more irregular basis!).  Simples!

Tag: How Much is My Face Worth?

Tuesday, 11 September 2012

This tag has been circulating the blogosphere recently and I've been enjoying reading everyone's posts so much that I thought I'd join in and do one myself.  So how much do you think my face is worth?

NOTD: Ciate - Bon Bon

Monday, 10 September 2012

I gave my nails a well deserved rest over the weekend and was planning to leave them alone for the duration of this week too, but couldn't resist this oh-so-pretty neutral shade from Ciate.  Bon Bon applies smoothly with two coats, and then I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite to give it that mega glossy finish.  Love it!
What are you wearing on your nails today?

Review: Liz Earle Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara

Liz Earle Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara in Black (8ml, £14.50, link)*

Today sees the exciting launch of the full Liz Earle make-up range which extends upon their previously released Colour Capsule Collection.  The full range is just that; from new foundations to lipsticks and everything in between, I'm already making a huge wishlist from it!  I was kindly sent their Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara and couldn't wait to try it out.

Review: Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner in Superblack (dupe for MAC Smoulder Eye Kohl)

Friday, 7 September 2012

Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl Waterproof Eyeliner in Superblack (1.2g, £5)

I picked up this eyeliner last weekend after reading Sam's review.   She mentioned that it was a dupe for MAC's Eye Kohl in Smoulder and that it lasted when used on the waterline.  I HAD to try this out for myself!

Inika Review: Pure Primer, Natural Perfection Concealer in Medium & Mineral Foundation in Patience

Thursday, 6 September 2012

I was first introduced to Inika's make-up via their mineral eyeshadows (reviews/swatches of those here and here) and had made a mental note to check out more of their range.  I was kindly sent these three products to try out, and thought that this post would serve as an ideal introduction to Inika's base range for those who are curious about this high-end, natural, vegan friendly brand.

Shopping My Stash

Wednesday, 5 September 2012

I've been meaning to do a 'Shopping My Stash' post for absolutely ages, but it was only when I saw Sophia's posts recently, that I finally decided to have a good old rummage through my make-up collection.  The concept of 'Shopping My Stash' is simple - you basically go shopping via your beauty stash!  No money or budgeting required.   Now that's really the best kind of shopping isn't it?

Review: Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette

Tuesday, 4 September 2012

They say good things come to those who wait and that's certainly been the case with this palette!  Say hello to my current HG concealer.

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Rose and Lavender Prince's Trust Special Edition

Monday, 3 September 2012

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Rose and Lavender Prince's Trust Special Edition (150ml, £19.75, link)*

Simplicity is something that is often lacking in the beauty world, especially when it comes to skincare.  The newest and latest product releases often scream 'high tech' or feature a brand new pioneering ingredient which promises to make your skin 'glow from within' (or something...).  Thankfully, there are many skincare brands who still like to keep things simple and Liz Earle is simply one of the best ones for it.  Case in point, their brand new release which is a simple twist on a much loved favourite of mine.

NOTD: China Glaze - Luxe and Lush

Sunday, 2 September 2012

Glitter nail polishes often look best when applied over an opaque shade, but China Glaze's Luxe and Lush is not your usual itty bitty glitter.  Check out those reflective chunky flakes!  The flakes are duo-chrome esque and you can pick out hints of gold, blue and pink in the mix which all reflect the light beautifully.  I love wearing this on its own over well groomed nails, there's something very delicate and princess-like about it.

What are you wearing on your nails this weekend?
