I know that this isn't your typical Spring shade, but I was going through some of my OPIs earlier, and stumbled across this little beauty that I hadn't worn in ages. It's one of a mini set that I purchased from their Swiss Collection, and is the only colour that I currently own which is this wonderful gun/dark pewter metallic silver. I love how metallics catch the light when it's sunny, so I always find myself wearing some of these at this time of the year. Application was typically sheer with this and it needed three coats to build up to this opaqueness. Word of caution though: this is something akin to a nightmare to remove. You'll need to employ the tin foil trick of course, but make sure you have plenty of cotton wool around to mop up the excess glitter that dispenses itself everywhere. Despite this, OPI's Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous is still one of my favourite OPIs.

It's a lovely colour, I can see why you chose it :) It always takes me ages to remove glittery nail varnish! xx

DeleteThis is my kind of colour as well! But I'm trying to branch out more.
ReplyDeletei know how that feels! i sometimes get stuck in 'shade ruts' x
DeleteI have this colour and love it too! I apply a black creme base colour then one coat of this - gives it a bit of depth and is slightly easier to remove :) xx
ReplyDeletethat sounds like it would look amazing, will have to give it a go :) xx
DeleteI'm being terrible opting for dark coloured nails this week too, I'm wearing ELF black but with American Apparel Supernova over the top so it's not totally dull! That's what makes this OPI one good, the shimmer means it's still nice to wear even if it is Spring :)

oh AA Supernova is such a pretty glitter! definitely, the shimmer/glitter makes it look more sparkly for spring rather than flat blacks for A/W :)
DeleteLove this colour! I have a very similar one in another brand and absolutely adore it!

i saw it everywhere when the Swiss collection came out back in 2010 but then it soon disappeared into obscurity which is a shame because it's a lovely colour xx
