Superdrug recently had free postage on its online orders, so I decided to add this to my basket and check out with some surplus Paypal funds. If you follow any beauty related blogs, you'll no doubt have seen this touted as the 'poor man's version of the Urban Decay's Naked Palette'. It's the Make Up Academy £4 equivalent, eyeshadow palette in Heaven and Earth. Verdict? I think it's OK, not as amazing as some people have made out it is, but not terrible either. The eyeshadows are fine with a primer, but some of the darker shades disappeared on me after a couple of hours and needed a touch up. I think the lighter shades are the best in this palette and look great when used for highlighting. Will it be replacing my Naked palette? Hell no!

I love the colours on this palette :) Do you find the powder a bit loose?

@MissMathful - yeah it's not necessary! x
ReplyDelete@Terri - A little, they're OK when used with a good primer like UDPP but I wouldn't use them without one x
Thanks for the honest review. I've heard so many wonderful things about it, that I thought that they're too good to be true for £4... ;) X

@Mademoiselle - I think a lot of big beauty bloggers were sent this for free to create a lot of hype! x
ReplyDeleteLove the look of this palette, it's all the colours that I would wear. Have heard so much about it and it has tempted me to buy it! :) x
